Susan has been active in the American Library Association's Library Leadership and Management division for over twenty years; she chaired the Fundraising & Financial Development Section and served on the ALA Council for three years as a member-at-large. Susan's professional passion is in helping libraries become community cultural centers, something that the Bozeman Public Library has already accomplished. Her goal now is to help the library grow gracefully and efficiently, while maintaining the excellence that the library has achieved. The future is an exciting one! Susan is also passionate about providing continuing education opportunities for library staff. Her goal is to work with the Bozeman Public Library Board of Trustees, Friends of the Library, Foundation, and City management to ensure that the library continues to meet the needs and hopes of the vibrant, growing community of Bozeman. Susan's son graduated from the OU College of Law in December, 2011, and is now launched on his own adventure. She loves her dogs, family, gardening, baking, Belgian chocolates, British films and Irish countryside. She loves road trips and plans to explore every diner in Montana, starting this summer, with the hundreds and hundreds of friends and family who will be descending on her house from Oklahoma.
