On Wednesday, May 15 at 6:30 pm, sculptor Danny Kraus will offer a lecture on his work as part of the Bozeman Sculpture Park 2013 Lecture Series. Kraus’s lecture will focus on his sculpture in the Park titled, “Three Ancient Harmonies.” The piece, standing nearly 9 feet tall, is a steel harp form with three dangling granite pillars.
Danny Kraus is a professional sculptor from Arlee, MT. He studied ceramics and sculpture at MSU and in 1996 settled in western Montana where he has been a successful public artist. He has also spent time working for an Alaskan fishery and on a research ship in China, reintroducing large cats in Africa, training elephants in Oregon, and climbing the Alps.
All lectures are free and held in the large Community Room from 6:30-8pm, followed by a reception for the artist. Tours of the Sculpture Park are available by contacting BSP at email@example.com.
