The public is invited December 14 and 15 to view a display in the Conference Room by ten graduate students from the MSU School of Architecture of their final design projects, “Architecture and Manufacturing: A Vertically Integrated Approach to PREFAB.”
The two teams were asked to develop a prefab company which identifies a target market, and develops a marketing strategy, prefab product line, and manufacturing facility.
The work displayed will be high quality architectural drawings, renderings, models, and animations. The students’ intention is to start a discussion on the complexity of prefab and how architects can begin to utilize the idea to meet contemporary issues in architecture. The course, Advanced Architectural Studio, is taught by Michael Patterson. The display is sponsored by the Library Foundation.
