Meet us out front on the Library Plaza with your blankets and lawn chairs on Sunday, July 20 between 4-7pm for the honky-tonk, country, rock, edgy, and progressive music from Ten Foot Tall & 80 Proof! Since forming in 2006, Ten Foot Tall & 80 Proof has been seen in a variety of venues, but this will be the band’s first appearance at the Library’s Day on the Green summer concert series. Their debut album, “Princess of Doom,” was released in January 2008 and since then they have been playing over 150 shows throughout the U.S., as well as locally in Music on Main and the Red Ants Pants Festival.
A bonus outdoor concert this month will be Montana Manouche on Tuesday, July 22 at 7pm on the east lawn of the Library. A gypsy jazz quartet, Manouche performs mostly instrumental music in the style of Django Reinhardt. The Library concert will be performed as a quintet, including vocalist Ann Dickensheets. Their joyful music is perfect for the whole family!
Pinky and the Floyd return on Sunday, August 24. While these concerts are fun for the whole family, please leave your dogs at home, and remember, there is no smoking on the Library grounds. These concerts are sponsored by the Library Foundation; please call Paula at 582-2426 with any questions.
