The Friends of the Bozeman Public Library help the Library in many ways:
-Enhancing library collections
-Donating computers, furnishings & artwork
-Sponsoring programs & book clubs
-Organizing used book sales
-Managing the Friends’ Used Bookstore
Some of the special programs sponsored by the Friends are the following:
Friends' of the Library Book Club -- A book discussion series which meets the second Wednesday of each month to discuss books of interest to the participants. The meetings are open to anyone. For more information, call 582-2410.
Summer Reading Program -- Friends provide funding for special performances over the summer, such as magicians, storytellers, and other entertainers as part of the Library's “One World, Many Stories” summer reading program.
How to support the Friend's activities:
Friends Membership -- The Friends of the Bozeman Public Library welcome new members. There are several levels of membership: Individual Friend, $20 per year, Family Friend, $30 per year; Good Friend, $50 per year; Devoted Friend, $100 per year; Supporting Friend, $200 per year and Best Friend, $500 per year. Contact the Friends office for a memberhip form.
Volunteer! The Friends have an enthusiastic and knowledgeable community of volunteers that assist with book sale preparation and staff book sales. Did you know the Friends have a Book Store? -- The Lindley Perk coffee shop houses the Friends of the Bozeman Public Library Used Bookstore, which has a wide selection of excellent condition used books year round. The Friends Book Store selects and rotates books on a weekly basis and aims to keep up with local reading interests. All proceeds from the book store sales directly benefit the Friends for improvements to the Library.
