Home MenuBirth - 5 Years
It's never too early to start sharing books, songs, and stories with your child! In addition to our fabulous book, audiobooks, films, and play spaces, we offer five classes each week designed to support your child's early development and help caregivers connect with each other.
The Children's Room contains two family restrooms, each equipped with a changing table and diaper exchange. You are welcome to breast or bottle feed your child at the Library, or provide your child with snacks.
We recommend dressing your child in play clothes that can get dirty, as we frequently offer kids paint and other messy materials during early literacy classes.
Storytime
We offer storytime five days a week! Sing, rhyme, read, and dance with your little one, and then stay for community, sensory exploration, and playtime.
Baby Storytime
Features 15 minutes of songs and movement, one short board book, and 45 minutes of sensory play, process art, and gross motor exploration. Especially for kids from birth to 35 months and their caregivers. Held every Tuesday and Thursday at 10:15 AM in the Community Room unless otherwise noted.
Toddler & Preschool Storytime
Features 20 minutes of songs and movement, one or two full-length picture books, and 40 minutes of sensory play, process art, and fine motor exploration. Kids may be invited to use tools like scissors, glue, or tweezers during this program and may handle materials that are choking hazards for babies. Especially for kids ages 3-5 and their caregivers. Held every Wednesday and Friday at 10:15 AM in the Community Room unless otherwise noted.
Family Storytime
Features 20 minutes of songs, stories, and movement and 40 minutes of playtime. Library staff varies this program week-to-week to meet the developmental needs of the attending little ones.
