Mobile Wi-Fi Hotspots are available to check out!
Wi-Fi hotspots are portable devices that allow for internet access to laptops, tablets, phones, and other devices without using your personal data plan. They can connect your device to the internet wherever there is cellular service.
Hotspots can be checked out for 14 days. Due to their popularity, placing a hold is recommended. To place a hold, go to the library catalog:
Mobile Hotspot (Verizon or T-Mobile)
How to connect a device to the hotspot:
- Turn on your hotspot and your Wi-Fi enabled device.
- Open the Wi-Fi application or controls on the computer or Wi-Fi enabled device that you want to connect to your hotspot.
- Find your hotspot's Wi-Fi name and enter your password to connect to the internet.
Note: Your Wi-Fi name and password appear on the hotspot LCD display.
Hotspot Circulation Policy
Hotspots are turned off once they are overdue and will not be turned back on until returned in good condition, with all of the accessories, to the library. If we turn hotspot service off twice in 6 months for the same person, that person will not be allowed to borrow hotspots from the library for 6 months. Other patrons are waiting to borrow hotspots so we appreciate your prompt attention!
